For this shoot, we worked with soft side lighting, carefully directed to highlight the textures of the glass, the orange pulp, and the natural elements surrounding the product. We chose a warm, earthy palette to reinforce the mezcal’s connection to the land and its artisanal origins. Deep shadows and a neutral background allowed us to focus attention on the bottle without distractions, creating an intimate and elegant atmosphere that reflects the brand's core values: tradition, authenticity, and sophistication.
We focused on highlighting the bottle's design and its label, which combines an industrial style typeface with a clean and functional composition. The mechanical cap, the glass texture, and the shape of the container gave us ideal elements to build a visual narrative consistent with the brand’s name: “Ojo de Tigre.” The name conveys strength, character, and a sense of mystical identity qualities we translated into our photographic style through tight framing, light reflections, and a composition designed to emphasize the mezcal’s ritualistic and contemporary spirit.
We understand that mezcal is much more than a drink, it's a deeply rooted cultural symbol. That’s why we approached this series as a visual experience that communicates both the product and its symbolic background. We incorporated elements like orange slices with "chile Tajín", salt and pieces of wood to evoke the traditional consumption context and highlight its organic origin. Through this art direction, we reinforced the brand’s storytelling, positioning Ojo de Tigre as a premium mezcal that honors its roots while speaking in a modern, coherent, and emotional visual language.
We incorporated smoke as both a symbolic and atmospheric element that reinforces the mezcal’s mystical and ritual identity. The smoke not only directly references the ancestral cooking process in conical stone ovens but also evokes the ceremonial nature surrounding the act of drinking mezcal. We used real smoke on set, allowing its organic, volatile form to interact spontaneously with the bottle and lighting, creating a dynamic visual interplay of transparency, density, and texture. The warm side lighting helped us sculpt the smoke with volume while maintaining definition, enhancing the contrast between the ephemeral and the solid, the ethereal and the tangible qualities that also define Ojo de Tigre as a brand.
